            Je suis là depuis 7 heures du matin, j’étais là avant celui qui vient de sortir pourtant…

            Alors, qu’est-ce qui vous amène ici aujourd’hui ?

Mme. A. B. : Ah oui ? D’accord. J’ai « lestoma »

LeDoc : un estomac ?

Mme. A. B. : Non, « lestoma »

            Vous savez, « lestoma » la maladie de ventre là qu’on a quand on mange beaucoup de piment ?!

LeDoc : Ah ok, l’ulcère ?!

Mme. A. B. : Ulcèèè…re ?! Non, « lestoma »

LeDoc : D’accord, « lestoma » oui.

            Avez-vous mal quand vous avez faim ?

Mme. A. B. : Oui, aussi quand je prends du café, du thé ou que je reste tout une matinée sans manger.

LeDoc : Et où, est-ce que ça fait mal ? Et depuis quand est-ce que ça a commencé ?

Mme. A. B. : Actuellement, je n’ai pas mal mais quand la douleur se déclenche, ça fait mal ici regardez (épigastre)… dans le cœur. J’ai eu une première crise il y a longtemps…après la naissance de mon 3^ième enfant ou le 4^ième je ne m’en rappelle plus trop.

LeDoc : Non, c’est l’estomac qui se situe là.

Mme. A. B. : Non, « lestoma » c’est la maladie quand on a mal au ventre à cause du piment. N’est-ce pas que le cœur est dans le ventre ?!

LeDoc : Pour votre information, le cœur se situe là (dans la poitrine) et l’estomac c’est un « sac » où va ce que l’on mange, il est dans le ventre. Vous comprenez ?!

            Comment est cette douleur ? Ça brûle ou vous avez l’impression qu’on tord quelque chose dans le ventre ?

Mme. A. B. : Ah oui ?! J’ai toujours cru que le cœur était dans le ventre, et que c’est lui qui me faisait mal quand j’ai faim. Là, je comprends mieux.

            Pour la douleur, ça brûle ; on dirait que j’ai avalé une braise.

LeDoc : la douleur reste sur place ou bien vous avez l’impression qu’elle se déplace ?

Mme. A. B. : Elle ne bouge pas, mais parfois je sens une autre douleur dans le dos, je ne sais pas si c’est la même.

LeDoc : D’accord, vous avez très mal ou bien la douleur est supportable ?

Mme. A. B. : Supportable ?! Vous ne connaissez vraiment pas « lestoma », ça fait très mal. Et le pire c’est qu’elle dure des heures…

LeDoc : D’accord. Avez-vous des astuces pour la calmer ?

Mme. A. B. : la première fois je changeais de position et je buvais de l’eau fraîche parfois ça passait d’autres fois non. Mais maintenant je prends du lait parfois des médicaments. Hééé…une fois mon fils m’a donné de l’aspirine, j’ai failli mourir je vous jure ; il a eu sa rafale d’injures quand j’étais convalescente. Et docteur, parfois je vomissais.

LeDoc : D’accord, maintenant ôtez votre habit et allongez-vous sur le divan ; je viens vous examiner.

            Votre tension est bonne, et le reste de vos constantes sont correctes.

            L’examen est strictement normal.

            Alors voici, ce qu’il faudra réaliser comme autres examens.

            Sur ce bulletin, c’est ce que nous appelons examen standard. Nous le demandons à tous les patients, hospitalisés ou suivis en ambulatoire.

            Sur celui-là, c’est l’endoscopie, c’est un examen qui consiste à faire passer un tuyau, muni d’une caméra, dans la bouche qui va jusqu’à l’estomac pour voir s’il y a un ulcère ou pas.

Mme. A. B. : D’accord, docteur. Donc, « lestoma » c’est ça ulcère. Mais « lestoma » qu’est-ce que c’est ?

LeDoc : c’est une plaie, c’est juste qu’elle est dans le ventre et nous on ne peut pas l’appeler plaie donc on l’appelle l’ulcère.

Mme. A. B. : okkk…là je comprends mieux, si c’est une plaie, donc ça se traite, on peut en guérir ?

LeDoc : Bien sûr que l’ulcère se traite. Mais pour se faire, nous avons besoin des résultats de l’endoscopie.

Mme. A. B. : D’accord. Mais là, vous allez me prescrire des médicaments ?

LeDoc : Non madame, pas pour le moment. Vous devez juste éviter de manger tout ce qui déclenche la douleur, en l’occurrence le café, le thé, les épices, le jeûne prolongé…

Mme. A. B. : Ah tout sauf le jeûne, je tiens à aller au paradis.

LeDoc : D’accord. Ce n’est pas encore le mois de ramadan, profitez-en pour en discuter avec votre imam. Je vous donne rendez-vous dans un mois et vous revenez avec les résultats de vos examens.
